Mediator

For more than 25 years, I have been involved in and passionate about seeking “mutual gain” resolution of problems with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have extensive experience as an alternative dispute resolution service provider, mediator, facilitator and trainer. In my work, I value empowerment, self-determination, and creativity.

Employment History

October 1, 1999 - Present

  • Mediator – Providing consulting, facilitation, mediation and training for individuals, groups and organizations, in both private and public sectors.
  • Affiliate Instructor - Regis University, Aurora Community College.  Instructor for undergraduate and graduate level courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution: Negotiation, Mediation, Introduction to ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Restorative Justice, Culture and Conflict  Resolution, Ethics and Multiculturalism.
  • Trainer/Consultant/Coach/Facilitator – City of Denver Internal Peer Mediation Program  As part of the internal Peer Mediation Program, I conduct workplace mediation training, provide direction for effective programs, facilitate quarterly meetings, and coach newly trained mediators.

September 2003 - December 2004

  • Executive Director - VORP  of Denver.  Victim Offender Reconciliation Program is an established non-profit organization, providing mediation services for the schools and courts.  I provided general administration, financial management, program development, fundraising and training for volunteers.

January 1985 - August 1999 Cofounder, New Mexico Center for Dispute Resolution, Santa Fe, New Mexico

  • NMCDR, a private, not-for-profit community-based organization that created and pioneered nationally recognized programs and services. Provided advocacy and relationship building through program development and administration, recruitment, systems design, training and staffing of volunteer and professional staff, writing and administering grants.
